February 27th:
Hi Everyone! I am starting a new section of the website where you can check every couple days to see updates on James Lee Botball, and news that is going on. Unfortunatley, Mr. Alvaro Luna, our instructor, only can meet on Thursdays, however rocket and robotics can still meet on Tuesdays. Mr. Ron and Mr. Alex will be in the Computer Clubhouse on Tuesdays, so you can work on any activities you like there. Also, on Tuesdays, the Computer Clubhouse will only be open from 4:00 to 6:00, after then, it will be closed. Please come back and check this page again for frequent updates.

February 28th:
On March 15th and March 16th, there will be a botball workshop for the teamembers. The meeing will be held from 8:00 a.m -5:00 p.m, and a one hour lunch break on both days. Here is the address:

Great News! Yet another animation has been completed and is currently in the proccess of being posted up. At James Lee, you can make "stop-motion" animations by moving an object, taking a picture, and repeating that cycle. Eventually, when the pictures are done, you can play them quickly to make a video. The video is expected to be posted on Thursday, March 6th. Make sure you check out this page then-see you later!

March 16th:
The Botball workshops were very informative and useful for all the students. Durring the program, we built our own robots, programmed them, saw a video displaying this year's problem, and heard lectures on how to win the competition. Students from all different teams all sat in their own chairs with their own computers, typing away, listening, and constructing. We all received white robots that look like small automatic vaccuum cleaners, and we received tools to put inside such as a claw and camera. By the end of the two days, the robot looked great! March 17th:
Today we had our first botball meeting with Mr. Alex, Austin, and me. We made our own botball board according to this year's problem and practiced programming it around the obstacles. We discussed strategies to rescue the crew members, various plant life, and how to knock of certain objects. We still must decide between using an arm to pick up crew members or having a bulldozer like arm.

March 20th:
the James Lee Botball Team decided to have an important meeting this Saturday. If you are on the James Lee Botball Team, make sure to attend. Also, we have just recruited a new member, Brandy Shorts. She will be assisting me with the documentation portion of the project. We also decided that Austin will be the primary programmer and the primary builder, even though the entire team will assist with programming and building.

March 29th:
The documentation portion of the Botball project is due on April 1st, however this is only for the Period 1 Sections. Today, at the James Lee Computer Clubhouse, we have members from Mott and Willston working.
